Wancher's inception can be traced back to the year 1990, a period when its founder, Mr. Okagaki Taizo, embarked on a pivotal "Desert Greening" research project for ODA in Egypt. Amidst the harsh desert conditions, handwriting became the only means for recording the research information. This necessity sparked a revolutionary idea in Mr. Okagaki's mind - the conception of a fountain pen designed to perform flawlessly in even the most challenging environments.
