Wancher Detroit Starry Night
For the first time ever, we are coming to the renowned Detroit Pen Show - one of the foremost International Pen exhibitions. As we prepare for our debut, we have produced the brand new fountain pen - Wancher Detroit Starry Night - to pay homage to the rich, illustrious background of the exhibition's host city.
The Detroit Starry Night is one of the most eyecatching new fountain pens, and it is notable for wearing its influences proudly. The translucent dark grey body is complemented by a graceful glittering design, which is reminiscent of the starry sky above the city of Detroit. Despite the unique elegance of the Detroit Starry Night's design, it is by no means a slim or frail fountain pen. The thickness and heft of the body, which belies the design, is meant to signify the beauty of the Detroit skyline while honoring its roots as a blue-collar, automotive manufacturing focused city.
The top and bottom of the Detroit Starry Night has a deep, navy blue that looks particularly arresting when paired with royal blue or blue-black ink. This particular shade of blue is inspired by the shades of blue commonplace in Detroit.
Uncapping the pen reveals more of this beautiful shade of blue which frames the proprietary silver 21K nib perfectly. This further reinforces how the Detroit Starry Night is meant to represent the best of Japan's refined fountain pen production capabilities while its design respects and honors the legacy of the city of Detroit.
