Unique Wood Collection

Living up to our mission which is to cherish various arts from around the globe and amaze the world with unique products, this time Wancher would like to introduce a new limited fountain pen collection - The Unique Wood.
Unique Wood is a collection of handmade wooden fountain pens with unique materials and shapes.

Shape of Nature

Expressing the uniqueness of nature, each pen comes with its own shape which is different from one to another. 
Staying away from industrial production, we focus only on handmade artwork and follow nature shaping. Although these saplings may have the same wood origin, once it grows- its shape changes into its own unique form and pattern; in which you can almost say - one of a kind.

The fountain pen is inspired by "Wabi-sabi" in traditional Japanese aesthetic philosophy which refers to the beauty of imperfection. Things are beautiful when they naturally come, develop, and go. Natural "Hibi" (cracks in Japanese) on the body of the fountain pens honors such unique beauty.

Each edition is made from a different type of wood including Longan, Cypress, Bocote, Kokutan (Ebony), and Rosewood. 
These are among the most durable and satisfying wooden materials we can choose to create a fountain pen. Holding the pen in hand, you can enjoy the fresh smell of wood and nature, which will make your everyday writing a pleasant experience.

Handmade Fountain Pen

Every single pen is crafted by Master Volans (Hong Ming Hua / 洪明華) whose name was chosen to be displayed in the Art Museum of Taipei by the Taiwanese Government. With the love for wood sculpture and fountain pen, Master Volans has spent his whole life researching and trying to make use of wood sculpture for writing. This time, in collaboration with Master Volans, we have been able to create a unique and natural fountain pen collection which brings the feeling of nature into your everyday writing.
